The Sterling Group was originally formed in 1988. The companies’ focus was broadcast & commercial video production, with an emphasis on corporate economics.
In the mid 90s, management changes created an environment enabling a redirection of resources and an update of services. This new direction was now more multimedia based which included a wide array of media products and services designed to meet our clients evolving needs.

2004 - The New Facility
In 2004, the completion of our newest facility brought about an even greater technological capability and expanded creative staff. Located in Chicago’s south suburban area this 3,000 plus sq. ft. facility boast 3 high tech edit suites including a world-class multi-track recording studio, photography, duplication and packaging departments.

Summer 2004 - Open Houses
Summer of 2004 was a very eventful one for The Sterling Group, Inc. With two more employee’s onboard (Nicole Peterson and Christina Johns) there was now the staff to host several receptions to show case The Sterling Group’s new location and to establish The Sterling Group in the community. The events were a huge success.

September, 29 2004 - Jim Schwanke Zingbat Production
Jim Schwanke assistant coach and hitting instructor at LSU was at the facility promoting a new batting product CD-ROM that is currently in the works.
The CD-ROM includes drills by Mark Doran (Former Pro Player of the California Angels), Ginny Georgantas (Player of the Greek Olympic Team) and Jim Schwanke.

July 13, 2005 - Xstream Mobile Solutions Partnership

The Sterling Group teamed up with Xstream Mobile Solutions (XSM) to offer text messaging software for corporations as well as emergency services. The Sterling Group handles graphics and layouts for XSM's advertising and promotional campaigns as well as developing their software solutions and website.

January 17th, 2006 - Stevie Vegas Video Shoot
Professional Poker Player, Stevie Musket AKA "Stevie Vegas,"
came to the studio to shoot a Texas Holdem Training Video as part of a series of videos on the rules and fundamentals of Poker..

July 2006 - Lands' End Video Shoot

The Sterling Group Shot video footage for Lands' End's back to school promotions. This footage is featured on news broadcasts about the companies innovations in school readiness and safety.
March 29, 2007 - TSG Films 2007 Flowerpossibilities.com Podcasts
The Sterling Group has developed a great relationship with the Flower Promotion Organization, having worked with them on various promotional videos for air during their regular news appearances and inner company meetings.
In March The Sterling Group filmed a series of video podcasts for the flower website Flowerpossibilities.com. Their podcast focuses on how you can use flowers in different ways during different times of the year.

Kankakee County Sheriff Launches XSM Safe

Kankakee County Sheriff’s Police Department and the Village of Manteno Police Department rolled out Xstream Mobile Solution’s SAFE product to residents this past week. This system, developed in conjunction with The Sterling Group, allows residents to log in to the Sheriff’s website (or village of Manteno) and click on a link that will register their phones. A text message and email confirming their phones have been tested and certified is then sent directly to their cell phones and email addresses, allowing them to receive specific emergency messages.
The Sterling Group handles all graphic materials Xstream Mobile Solutions worldwide campaigns.
